Another theme of a Puella Magi witch, this time Ophelia. She's more underground since not everyone played the mobile game. While I didn't either, I actually liked this one witch, and thought the anime could explore those characters a little more.
ABOUT:
Ophelia, the wudan (warrior maiden in Chinese opera), is the witch form of Kyoko Sakura, born from her acumulated grief when she was unable to save or help those she loved. She's the one who abandoned her role as a protector and purger, her legacy of empathy and wisdom, and everything she once held dear, since she was herself abandoned by all people she knew. Even her faithful horse and her marching lady minions, blindly walking through the fog, are meaningless. Without a reason to live or will of her own, she only wanders aimlessly in the void, killing whatever that moves.
